H.confusa is among the Leptophlebiidae family an important species for the fly angler.


It hatches from end of March till beginning of June, and can appear in big numbers in April and May.


H.confusa is a mid size ephemeroptera (8-11 mm.), like all other members of the Leptophlebiidae has always 3 cerci
