Keys used for
this identification

Abdominal terga 2 to 8 dark brown or blackish, unicolored or with a narrow median pale spot at times forming a longitudinal band.

Gill 1 half long as gill 2.

Pronotum dark brown/blackish with a mediolongitudinal band.

Tergum 9 at times with a two circular spots and pale smudges.

Cerci: brown, blackish in the apical third part.

Femora brownish with a pale spot, posterior margin of femora with 8 to 12 pointed bristols.

Posteriormargin of terga with triangular pointed spines, intercalated with very small spines.

The B. muticus was abundant and the only species of this genus that I found. Some showed a dark wing case and were ready to hatch.
