The Wolfsbach benthos report

In the examined stretch of river the dominant order is the mayfly. Among the hundreds of larvae I identified five different species. Most were Baetis and Ecdyonurus, followed by Rhithrogena, Epeorus and Habroleptoides. There was a moderate hatch of B.rhodani during the warmest hours.
