The original PTN is very peculiar, in fact it does not use any silk thread to tie the fly. There are only two ingredients: thin copper wire and pheasant tail fibers. The fly is very easy to tie, extremely elegant and very much resembling the essential shape of a swimming nymph. The copper wire gives the imitation the translucency of the body of the real insect.
