The Große Lauter is a German chalk stream. In this footage some impression of the stream while the Ephemera danica is hatching.
I created this dressing by chance, finding myself in need of nymphs and with no other material to bind than CDC. The result was terrific, if not for the eshtetic for the fish that it's caught to date
This version of the Adams, entirely tied with natural materials, never let me down. Either during a hatch or as search pattern, among the several dressing variations this one remains unbeatable.

At about an hour and a half east of Reykjavik, not far from the impressive Gullfoss waterfalls and the Geyser area, there is a river full of Arctic Char. It is a well-known place, thus do not expect to have it all for your own.

Fantastic little, short stream with crystal clear water flowing through a bucolic landscape. The clarity of the water is impressive, it looks as this as air. This headwater is flowing into a larger creek, know to host trout and graliny.
The European barbel can reach a meter in length and a weight of 8 kg. It is a very strong fish. Once hooked, it sticks to the bottom and won't give up until your arm's sore. In large sizes, they will open your hook if the wire is not the best quality
Many times, I prefer to go fishing in areas where I am sure I will meet nobody else..I look for small streams that are far away from any village or towns. These are very remote and wild places. No human soul for miles away
Finally we come back to the Blau. This chalk stream is in our hearts. We have been missing for several years and eventually we found the opportunity to pay a visit and check how things are doing here in the German flatland of Baden-Württenberg.
